Set out from Chiang Rai with an English-speaking guide such as Wat, James, or Mo for a 10 to 12 km jungle trek. Walk through bamboo forest, rice fields, farmland, and hill villages, swim at a waterfall, help prepare lunch with handmade bamboo tools, then soak in hot springs. Expect a moderate to strenuous day, especially after rain.

“This is an amazing trip! I booked this trip as a surprise for my girlfriend and it exceeded our expectations. The hike was not too heavy and we walked around 10km in total, including multiple breaks. The guides told a lot of interesting facts about the nature and villages we passed. They really did their best to make it a perfect day. If you are adventurous, book this trip, because you will not regret it!! :)”

“Best trekking experience we have done . A great adventure , food was very tasty and very authentic. James , Watt and Sam were very hospitable and fun. The only thing I would say to be aware of if you are nervous of dogs that there are a lot on the trek. However, they were not interested in the you just the other dogs .”

Skiathos: Dog Shelter Visit, Hike & Cooking Class with Lunch

3.Skiathos: Dog Shelter Visit, Hike & Cooking Class with Lunch

★★★★★★★★★★4.7 · 40 reviews · 5 hours · from $83

Spend five hours in Skiathos combining a short shelter-dog walk with a Greek cooking demonstration at Maria’s taverna. Hotel pickup, an English-speaking guide, lunch, local wine, and soft drinks are included. Expect a gentle nature walk rather than a demanding hike, and a demonstration-led class rather than fully hands-on cooking.

“wa so lovely to visit the dog shelter again, this to.e as part of a tour. would have liked the dog walking to be a little longer and/or change over walking another dog. The cooking class was more a case of being shown how a traditional Skiathos meal wad made rather than hands on creating the dish ourselves. That said a very enjoyable excursion. Our guide was very pleasant and jovial. Would recommend going if the trip is available when the season starts again in 2026.”

Swim at Mesa Pigadia, then join a local chef for a hands-on Greek cooking lesson and lunch. Hotel pickup and return transport are included, with English and Greek-speaking guides.

“enjoyable hike, quick swim then a cooking class where you can learn to make some simple Greek dishes. Not an overly interactive cooking class as you watch more than cook, but it was great just the same. We really enjoyed it.”
